PLUS SIZE back to school outfit idea

   Hey guys so I know school has probably started for some or is just getting ready to start. Of course the first question is "what should I wear" I always want to look cute and simple and this outfit idea is just that.

  This forever 21 plus red (looks orange to me) skater dress is perfect for the first day of school if it's not too cold just in-between weather. I own a black one with short sleeves however it's no longer sold on the site. This dress is the perfect pop of color underneath a cute jean jacket or blazer. Wear with cute sandals or flats and you're good to go.

Bargain for the curvy ladies

Hey guys I hope everyone is having a good weekend. A few days ago I ran across this cute motor jacket from forever 21 on sale for 18. 00. It comes it two colors black and burgundy I purchased the black. I love the Moto style jackets because I feel like they are timeless and they go with almost everything, they make things look edgy.  I had a motor jacket a few years ago however it got to small because I gained a few lbs :(. However I’m happy now that I have found this I actually got for 16.00 using a coupon code from http://www.retailmenot.com/, I believe it was a 10% off code I just played with them until I found one that works.  I love the idea of inspired looks or a look for less.  So I’d like to share with you an inspired for the  curvy girsl friendly
                        

             Kim. K is  wearing a cute blue  leather pencil skirt that's  very flattering for her body She paired it with a denim top. I love how she paired simple pieces like a fitted skirt.  and a denim/chambray shirt. These are items that many people may have in their closet so it's an easy look to re- create.

All about the turban

Hey everyone! I hope all is well. Today I want to talk about turbans/headwraps it's a big trend in the fashion world and always has been. I just think more recently the trend has made a comeback; everyone is wearing them from Solange to Kourtney kardashian. I'll be honest at first I wasn’t very fond of this trend because I just didn’t think it was something I liked or if I could pull it off.  However now I LOVE! It they are easy to do and is the perfect cute touch for any outfit. I know there are many styles and ways to wear it. I use regular scarfs (like a winter scarf for my neck) and just wrap into the style I desire. The more coo and funky  the print on the scarf the better the look in my opinion,  I love an abstract,  geometric or animal print on a scarf. Solid print is also great it just depends on the look you’re going for. I also would suggest straight scarfs for example, no fringe at the bottom because I think they tend to have a cleaner look. However if you have fringe you can just hide it within the wrap. I get my inspiration from other celebs and I learned how to do the look via YouTube (of course hehe). I thought I’d share with you a few cute look that have inspired me and even a few cute ones that you can purchase from online sites.

Kim.K Outfit inspiration #1

Hey guys today I was browsing at some clothes online (as usual lol).  I came across a really cute dresses  that reminded me of a dress I saw Kim Kardashian wearing a few months ago when she was pregnant. The dress is a bit unique in my opinion but I love how she wore it with a bold lip and slick bun. I thought I'd share with you the dresses that were similar to hers and hopefully inspire you if you like the look.

This color blocked  dress is from Old navy and it retails for $24.94 and goes up to a size XXL. It can be paired with heels or flats of any color. As you can see Kim went more of a nude route with her shoes, I think I'd probably go for more of a pop of color and of course a matte red lip!. This is such a cute summer dress to wear to just about anywhere work, date night, going out with your girls. Remember it's all about how you style it to make appropriate for any occasion.

As the dress on top it can be paired with heels or flats, however since this is a more causal alternative it may look better with a cute sandal. Swooning

Hey I hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm a huge Beyonce' fan point blank! I think she's amazing her work ethic the way she demands the stage just everything!!!. As many people were lucky to see Mrs. Carter this summer  I wasn't so lucky with being able to snag tickets :( they were sold out the same day that I was trying. However I may not have been able to see her physically in concert but the pictures from the shows make me just as happy. This weekend Beyonce' performed in New York at the Barclay's center in Brooklyn and this GORGOUES Gucci costume that she wore has been making it's way around the internet. When I seen it I was swooning I just instantly fell in love, I love the style of it the color coordination just everything!. So a little outfit inspiration popped into mind, while of course it may not be exact I thought it can pass lol.

Inspiration

This blouse is from H&M which can now be purchased online, I actually posted about this in black. It goes up to a size 14 and retails for $29.95. As you can see the reason why I thought this shirt can be worn if aspiring to get Beyoncé's look from above is because.  The stripes and the wrap around which shows some cleavage as her top does. This shirt doesn't look like it shows much but it's something just enough ;).

 

I know Bey's pants are white however I think the look can be switched up a bit inspired doesn't mean it has to be exact but similar. However I like the black pants  (also come in two other colors) they go up to a size 16 and retail for $24.95.  I hope that you can find some inspiration from this post.

Carrie fever...........

I know I am years! late! with this post (lol) however I think it's worth being late. Now ladies I know we've all seen sex and the city 2 and of course the fashion in the movie is always worth discussing. However in dress in particular caught my eye back then (2010) and I'm still salivating over it now. The dress from the scene when Carrie took a walk in the dessert in that GORGOUES pleated orange maxi dress. I believe it retails for $895 I don’t know about you but I don’t have that kind of money to spend on a dress  and If I did I wouldn’t lol. No offense to anyone that would J.  However I found a SLIGHTLY SIMILAR dress for waaaaaaaaay cheaper at least to me the dress Is a bit similar. when I seen the dress to me I was like this is my Carrie inspired dress and I hope you guys feel the same.

 

 

 

This is Sarah Jessica parker aka Carrie wearing the dress during the movie Halston Heritage Iconic Pleated Long Dress in Orange that retails for about $ 895. I mean how gorgeous is this dress and the color is just gorgeous for any skin tone just pops!. The dress is orange but I thought it was coral, I guess those colors are in the same family.

 

THE LOOK FOR LESS

 

Now no the dress isn't exact but when I saw this dress I instantly thought about Carrie. This dress is from Target and retails for 29.99 but it's now on SALE! for $20.00 it comes in 3 other colors and  goes up to a size XXL. I purchased this dress in the exact color as shown in the pic above. It's pretty and flows and has two side splits. Also the back is racer back so it has to be worn with a strapless bra. The only con is that it the dress is made of very sensitive material, I wore it once and it got a bit snagged nothing major. However be careful that you don't get the dress caught onto anything sharp or it'll snag. I'm actually going to purchase it again in navy blue. This dress is plus size friendly in my opinion because though it’s racer back, unlike Carries’ dress the straps are thicker than just spaghetti straps. When I’m looking at dress the size of the straps makes or breaks it for me. I wore mine with cute white sandals that I purchased from JC penny( I'll write more about those below) and a old gold cuff from forever 21 purchased a while ago.

 

Now for the shoes that I wore with this dress I purchased them from JC Penny in  like late May. I’m not sure if they are still in the store however . They are online and they're on SALE!! seems like I'm on the money with the sales today huh? lol. they retail for $18.00 and are now on SALE FOR $13 go get em' ladies. ;). They went very nice with the dress just perfect. if anyone is interested in purchasing I'll post the link below for both the shoes and the dress. I hope you all like this post I've really been wanting to talk about it.

I hope everyone is having a great summer, it’s been so long!!!! since I've posted. I've been thinking about how I'm going to make the blog better posting ootd's and more. However in other news t his week the news came out that shopping at h &m online is available for the U.S  finally!!!!!.  I’m sure just like others I’ve been waiting for this for a while. I was actually told that it was going to be available in the fall of last year. Obviously that wasn’t accurate information (lol).  However I felt like it’s only appropriate to share with you my wish list of items that I’d love to add to my current wardrobe this fall.

These cute printed pants are great for fall or even summer/spring. They come in 3 different colors they are loose fitted and go up to a size 14. I just love printed pants I think they are fun and can be dressed up or down.
