Valentine day look 2

Valentine day look #2

Valentine day look #2 by veah

For this Valentine’s Day look I went flirty and cute I added a white button up which is a wardrobe staple (that I need to add to my closet lol).  A cute pink skirt you can’t go wrong with this color in the spirit of the holiday and of course it can be worn during the spring and summer. Over the past year statement necklaces have made a statement  lol (cheesy I know) seriously they are very trendy right now and there are so many different kinds at different sale points so everyone can afford one within their budget. I think it would go very nice worn under the collar of the button down It adds some spunk to just a plain white button up. I know many ladies wear heels often however I don’t I am a flats girl so I paired the skirt and shirt with black pointy flats and I chose pointy because it is a bit more sophisticated than a round toe. Last touch is the clutch and studs I chose studs because they don’t clash with the other accessory.

Jerk chicken recipe food post #2

Hey everyone  I hope you are having a great new year so far! I love to cook and jerk chicken has been my obsession the past few months and I am bringing that obsession with me into the new year lol. when I cook I believe that keeping it simple is what's best as far as seasonings I stick to just basics but the food is good trust me lol nothing is bland. so I just want to share this recipe with you and hopefully you can use it and put your own twist on it.

Ingredients
Chicken legs, thighs or whichever piece of chicken you like (you can also another kind of meat or seafood)
Red onion (you can also use white I just like to cook with red best)

Onion powder

Garlic powder

 1 lime

Grace MILD jerk seasoning  (this is the brand and type or seasoning I used you can use whatever you like I don’t like my chicken very spicy because I can’t handle it lol I like just a little spice and a lot of flavor lol)

DIRECTIONS
You may want to use gloves for this so that you can really get down and season the chicken. Clean your chicken before seasoning once your chicken is cleaned pull down the skin on the chicken or if you want to have it skinless you can. Add the onion powder to your chicken on both sides rub the powder in or mix the chicken together in a bowl with a large cooking spoon. Then add the garlic powder and follow the same procedure as you did for the onion powder. Once that is done add a table spoon of jerk seasoning to your chicken and rub it on the chicken you may add as much as you need however be aware that the seasoning is salty which is why I did not use any salt at all just the powders to enhance the flavor. Rub the chicken until you are content with the amount of seasoning. Now pull the skin back up and add a bit of jerk to the skin and then add some onion and garlic powder that the chicken is seasoned from the inside out. Once that is done cut the lime and squeeze the juice from the lime unto the chicken cup the onion in strips or circles or you can chop it up however you like it and add it to the chicken. You can make this chicken the same day or you can marinate it and make it the next day. If you choose to make it the same day if you can let It marinate for some time at least 20-30 minutes but if you more time to let it marinate in the fridge then let it marinate longer. Lay the chicken in a pan put the onions on top cook for about and hr. to a hr. and 20mins. Then you have jerk chicken and you can serve with any side dish you would like I really like it with a baked sweet potato the sweetness from the potato just balances out the spiciness from the jerk.

ps: I AM SORRY BUT I DO NOT HAVE A PICTURE OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT BUT IF I MAKE THE CHICKEN ANYTIME SOON I'LL UPDATE THE POST WITH A PICTURE. IN THE MEANTIME ENJOY THIS RECIPE MAKE IT SHARE AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

Last meal of 2014 food post #1

Hey everyone I know the year is ending and you're either going out or staying home  with your family and having dinner like I am lol. Every year around the holidays my family and I cook a small meal and since I love cooking I decided to go ahead and just cook most of it. On the menu is stuffed fish this is one of my favorite dishes my mom used to make it when I was younger and I love it still I am also making  kale. I might be cooking a few more items later on and if I do I will add them to this post So let's get started.

Stuffed fish

Ingredients

whiting's fish filets  (I am using 10 because it's a pretty bit meal that I am making however you can determine the amount you need based on who's having the meal with you)  you can also use another kind of fish like tilapia or even chicken or pork.

Stove top stuffing in chicken flavor or whichever flavor you like or whatever brand stuffing you like

Garlic powder

Salt

McCormack’s fiesta lime seasoning

Butter

Directions

Clean your fish and then lay them out flat I used a cutting board and laid my fish out flat and then season the and the front and back of the fish with a sprinkle of salt , garlic powder and onion powder and lastly  fiesta lime seasoning  (which I really love on fish it just has a great tangy flavor).  Then  take  a table spoon full of stuffing and add it to the middle of the fish  and roll the fish downward or upward however you want.   then continue this same process for rest of the fish and  place it  in a pan. Then place  a slice of butter on top of each fish and put foil on top of the pan and then put in the oven on 350 degrees for an hour then take  the foil off and  put it back in the oven for 20 minutes to brown it and voila! It’s done.

                                                         AFTER
PS: please excuse the messy appearance of the fish lol  but enjoy the delicious taste

I hope you all enjoy this meal and  make these recipes apart of your holiday or just weekday cooking HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

New shoes (wide width)

Just like me I am sure that every girl loves new shoes! I just so happen to have wide feet so a lot of shoes that are not wide width really hurt my feet but thank goodness for retailers that look out for girls with wide feet lol. I have made a promise to myself that no matter how cute a pair of shoes is, if they are not wide width I will not waste my money and buy them because I end up never wearing them. So one of the main places I shop for my shoes is torrid.com I shop online because there is not a store anywhere near me that is conveniently located. I found the cutest pair of loafers that are wide width and just fab! and even though winter has officially only been here for a few days these shoes are perfect for spring and summer which is really just around the corner ( I know times flies right by doesn't it). I have worn these shoes a few times and they are really comfy and add an extra pizazz to my outfit I really love wearing them with boyfriend jeans for just a casual relaxed look. However they can be paired with a dress, pants, skinny jeans etc. I purchased these shoes for the original price of $42.50 well a few dollars less because I had a coupon code (I try not to shop without a coupon code because I LOVE!  a reduction lol). However they are now half off and they are $20.00 certainly worth the price so grab them before they are all gone the link to purchase them are down below.

JUST IN TIME FOR NEW YEARS!

Hey I know it has been a very looong time but I am still here! I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season this year I know I am which bought me to write this post. This year I did not really get any luck with black Friday deals online and  I did not go into any stores. However the day after Christmas I scored something good!. New Years is right around the corner and  people are looking for Nye party dresses and outfits well  I think I found a great item for Nye or just winter in general. I have a small obsession with furry sweaters and I came a cross a very cute inexpensive furry knit cardigan from  H&M plus size section online I am not sure about the availability in the stores. The sweater is originally $34.99  however I caught a sale and it was $17 the sizes range from Large - 3x.l  I love how soft it is and it looks so luxurious (in my opinion) it can be work dressed up or down but it is definitely perfect for any new years eve soiree. I look forward to becoming a more dedicated blogger and sharing my fav recipes and fashion finds. I hope the new year is prosperous, joyous and full of blessings  for everyone! HAPPY NEW YEARS!.
